Join us on Saturday, August 26th for the Annual Cowbelle Classic!
The Cowbelle Classic is a women's only cycling event hosted by the Boone Area Cyclists, and this year is co-sponsored by Watauga County Parks & Recreation. Women of all abilities are invited to ride in a non-competitive social environment on the beautiful country roads of Sugar Grove, NC. By providing mentoring for new riders, we are expanding the community of women cyclists in our region.

Ride is $35 for active BAC Members **
Ride is $50 for non-BAC Members
** In order to receive the ride discount of $35, your BAC Membership cannot be lapsed.
If you believe your membership is active and you cannot select the discounted rate,
please check the status of your membership with BAC.

Registration closes on August 15 or whenever the ride is full. Riders must register by Tuesday, August 1st in order to receive an official 2023 Cowbelle Classic t-shirt!
Unfortunately, we cannot give refunds for any reason, so if you can't make it, please consider your registration fee a donation to the Cowbelle Classic and the Boone Area Cyclists (a 501c3 nonprofit) for the work we do promoting cycling in the High Country. Like most formally organized rides, we also do not give refunds if the ride is canceled due to weather, etc.
No personal transfers. If you can't ride, please let us know so we can fit in someone from the waiting list. By doing this, you can help us meet our goal of getting lots of women riding. It also helps us know who is actually riding, which is important for safety reasons.
Registrants must be 16 years or older in order to ride. Anyone under 18 must have the written permission of a parent or guardian.
No personal SAG vehicles are allowed. We will provide SAG and aid stations along every route.
SAG, aid stations, and lunch will close at 3 pm for all routes. Any riders remaining on the course at this time must be picked up by a SAG vehicle. BAC and the Cowbelle Classic assume no responsibility or liability for anyone who refuses to ride the final sweep vehicle.
